OEM COVERAGE
Front-facing camera calibration is not only a windshield job. Manufacturers require it after alignment, suspension work, ride height changes, tire size changes, and collision repair too. This is what each manufacturer requires, and which repairs trigger it.
The manufacturer calibrates the front-facing camera once, on the assembly line, against the original glass and the original ride height. Anything that moves the glass, the camera, or the geometry the camera is aimed through can put it out of specification.
That list is longer than most shops expect. Replace a windshield and the camera comes off the glass. Change ride height with a lift, a leveling kit, or a lowering job and the camera aims at a different part of the road. Perform an alignment or replace suspension components, and the reference the camera was calibrated against has moved.
Windshield replacement triggers a forward-facing camera calibration on every manufacturer on this page. Alignment, suspension, ride height, tire size and collision work trigger it too, and the entries below set out which manufacturers and which models.
The dash will not tell you. This holds for every trigger on this page, not just the windshield. Manufacturer after manufacturer states the requirement follows the work performed and the vehicle’s equipped systems, not warning lamp status. Subaru directs technicians to calibrate even when the EyeSight warning light is not illuminated. Ford notes a misaligned sensor may not immediately set a fault code. The vehicle drives away, the light stays off, and the system is out of specification.

Brands: Subaru
Windshield replacement. Subaru requires EyeSight calibration after windshield replacement on all EyeSight-equipped vehicles. Both left and right stereo cameras must be calibrated as a matched set. Because the cameras mount to the glass, any windshield replacement displaces their reference. A post-calibration road test is required to verify dynamic EyeSight performance.
Wheel alignment and suspension. Subaru requires EyeSight stereo camera calibration when a wheel alignment is performed and when suspension-related components are removed, installed or replaced.
Collision. Subaru directs technicians to calibrate after minor collisions, and to calibrate stereo camera removal, regardless of whether the EyeSight warning light is illuminated.
No warning light. Subaru’s position statement requires calibration even if EyeSight warning indicators are not illuminated.

Auggie Air renders that brand’s target to its published specification, and the job produces documentation captured against the OEM position statement: what was required, the procedure followed, the target setup used, and the as-delivered result. When the requirement is ever questioned, the record answers.
Every trigger on this page is a forward-facing camera calibration. That is the job Auggie Air does, in a bay or a driveway, with no floor rig and no dedicated room.
Coverage varies by make, model, and model year. Confirm the specific vehicle with an AirPro Representative before you commit to anything.
If the requirements on this page describe work already moving through your bays, Auggie Air is the system that performs them: one device, one process, no dedicated calibration room. An AirPro Representative takes it from there.
If you are a general repair or tire shop, the requirements on this page apply to your work too. AirPro covers those trades at airprodiagnostics.com/general-auto-repair and airprodiagnostics.com/tire-shops.
The information provided on this page is for educational purposes only. Always validate against the OEM’s authorized positioning statements and directives at their own website or an authorized organization’s website. AirPro may not always have the latest information on this website.
