Earl Chittum

Upon leaving the military, Earl started a new career with GEICO Insurance. Working his way through the claims department, he quickly realized his passion for being in the field working with people and became an estimator in the Clinton, MD office. Earl’s career took off at this point, moving to a field adjuster role in Richmond, VA, then to a field supervisor back in Clinton, MD, and later to Northern VA.

Earl was asked to assume a role as an Internal Auto Damage Manager in Fredericksburg, VA, where he oversaw an internal staff handling Total Loss Claims, Theft Claims, the Escheat process, and the Salvage process while developing new claims processes for the Auto Damage Department. He was then asked to relocate to Tucson, AZ, to set up a new Auto Damage Department from the ground up. This department was responsible for adjusting and processing claims for AZ, NV, UT, ID, MT, WA, and OR.

After 20 years with GEICO, Earl decided to make a change and switched to the repair side of the industry. He accepted a position as an Operations Manager with Caliber Collision and relocated to South Florida to help establish Caliber’s footprint in Jupiter, Wellington, Stuart, and Palm Beach. After successfully building a strong team and getting the centers up and running in just six months, he was asked to move to Jacksonville, FL, to establish a new region from scratch. Over 18 months, the region grew to eight locations, and Earl was promoted to Regional Vice President, overseeing operations across the Florida market.

He was then asked to move to Central Operations, where he managed a team assisting Non-Drive locations and responding to various operational needs. He worked to establish consistency in store-level processes and procedures, helped implement the Electric Vehicle program, and led training and development for new General Managers at Caliber. After 10 years, Earl moved out of the collision industry and joined AirPro.

In his spare time, Earl loves coaching soccer and spending time with his family hiking, camping, fishing, or hunting. He also enjoys taking on any DIY project he can find!
