What Dynamic 360 Around View calibration is

A 360 Around View system uses multiple cameras (typically four, mounted at the front grille, rear, and one in each side mirror) to capture the area surrounding the vehicle. The image processing module stitches the four feeds into a single top-down composite view used for parking, low-speed maneuvering, trailer and obstacle awareness, and the visual input that automated parking systems rely on.
A dynamic calibration is performed while the vehicle is driven under conditions specified by the OEM position statement. Depending on the platform, the procedure may be a slow controlled drive in a flat, well-marked area where the system self-learns the geometric correction against ground features (lane markings, parking lines, road texture); a low-speed maneuvering sequence the OEM specifies; or a confirmation drive that validates a stitch already established. Lighting, ground surface, and the absence of obstructing traffic typically all matter.
When the OEM specifies dynamic-only calibration for the 360 system, no static target setup in the bay is required. The calibration is complete once the dynamic phase is verified to OEM operating spec with all active fault codes resolved. When the OEM specifies a static phase before the drive, the procedure becomes a dual workflow; the Brand Specialist confirms which path the OEM position statement requires for that VIN before the calibration begins.
