AirPro's industry-leading Static Around View Monitor calibration

Static Around View Monitor calibration is one of the most setup-intensive procedures in the Nissan and Infiniti ADAS catalog, with multiple cameras and multiple precision-placed targets all referenced against a single vehicle. AirPro Diagnostics delivers it remotely, with a US-based Brand Specialist on every assist, brand-authenticated Nissan tooling, and documentation aligned to the Nissan position statement.

What Static Around View Monitor calibration is

AirPro is a remote diagnostic services provider. The vehicle stays in your bay. The diagnostic depth and the documentation come from AirPro. The physical work stays with your technician.

AirPro services cover 98% of all vehicles on the road. Response in under 10 minutes, most assists in under 90 seconds. Full insurance documentation aligned to OEM position statements and DRP audit requirements.

Around View Monitor (AVM) is Nissan and Infiniti’s branded multi-camera surround view system. Four cameras (mounted at the front grille, rear, and one in each side mirror) capture the area surrounding the vehicle. The vehicle’s image processing module stitches the four feeds into a single top-down composite view used for parking, low-speed maneuvering, trailer and obstacle awareness, Moving Object Detection where the platform supports it, and the visual input that ProPILOT Park and other automated parking features rely on.

For the stitched view to be accurate, each camera has to be calibrated to its Nissan-specified position, angle, and lens correction. A small offset on any one camera misaligns the stitched image, distorts the apparent geometry around the vehicle, and produces blank or doubled panels in the composite view.

A Static Around View Monitor calibration is performed in the bay with the vehicle stationary, squared, and level. Nissan-specified target mats are positioned around the vehicle perimeter at the OEM’s exact distance, angle, and orientation specifications. Each camera images its corresponding target. The image processing module learns its geometric correction for each camera against the targets, the stitch is validated, and the calibration is verified to Nissan operating spec with all active fault codes resolved.

When Static Around View Monitor calibration is required

The Nissan position statement is the standard. The most common triggers are:
  • Replacement of any AVM camera (front, rear, or either side)
  • Side mirror replacement (the side AVM cameras are mirror-mounted on Nissan and Infiniti platforms)
  • Front bumper, grille, fascia, or emblem replacement (whenever the front AVM camera mounting is disturbed)
  • Rear bumper, tailgate, or liftgate replacement (whenever the rear AVM camera mounting is disturbed)
  • Collision repair affecting any AVM camera mounting point
  • Suspension or ride-height changes that alter the vehicle’s reference geometry
  • Wheel alignment that changes the steering or thrust-line reference
  • Any active or stored DTC pointing to the AVM system, the image processing module, Moving Object Detection, or ProPILOT Park
  • Customer complaints of misaligned stitch, distorted ground geometry, blank panels, or doubled image edges in the top-down view after collision, refinish, or panel work

If the vehicle is in for any work that touches a panel where an AVM camera is mounted, the Brand Specialist on the assist confirms the exact requirement against the Nissan position statement for that VIN before releasing the vehicle.

A US-based Brand Specialist is one click away.

US-based Brand Specialists are available. This is the difference between the AirPro device and a generic scan tool. A generic tool reads codes and leaves the technician to interpret them on their own. The AirPro device remotely connects a US-based Brand Specialist with the on-site technician, who is on the line from error code to repair plan confirmation and documentation. No script. No call tree. No transfer to a supervisor. AirPro commits to responding within 10 minutes of every assist request, with the majority attended to within 90 seconds.

How AirPro delivers

Every Static Around View Monitor calibration through AirPro Assist is led by a US-based Brand Specialist on the call. Our Brand Specialists have worked the brands they specialize in and have worked in a repair shop themselves. They speak the language of the bay because they have worked the bay.

The AirPro device connects to the vehicle in your bay. AirPro’s operating system connects the device to the Brand Specialist on the call. The Brand Specialist confirms the Nissan position statement, verifies the bay setup (vehicle squared, level, weight as specified, fuel and tire pressure where Nissan calls it out), walks the multi-target placement with your technician (each Nissan-specified target mat positioned to OEM distance, angle, and orientation around the vehicle perimeter), runs the calibration for each AVM camera, validates the stitch, and verifies the result to Nissan operating spec with all active fault codes resolved. Documentation generates automatically against the Nissan position statement.

No script. No call-tree. No transfer to a supervisor. The Brand Specialist on the line is the one with in-depth experience on Nissan and Infiniti.

Nissan-licensed software is available on request. Our US-based Brand Specialists run Nissan and Infiniti diagnostics with brand-authenticated tooling.

Coverage spans the Nissan and Infiniti AVM lineup, including internal combustion, hybrid, and battery electric platforms.

Key points

  1. US-based Brand Specialist on every assist. Every Static Around View Monitor calibration is led by one of our US-based Brand Specialists with in-depth experience on Nissan and Infiniti. AirPro commits to responding within 10 minutes of every assist request, and a majority of requests are attended to within 90 seconds.
  2. Multiple cameras, multiple targets, one stitched result. The Brand Specialist walks the placement of each Nissan-specified target mat to the position statement, runs the calibration for each AVM camera in sequence, validates the stitched composite view, and verifies the result to Nissan operating spec with all active fault codes resolved.
  3. Nissan position statement governs the bay setup and the targets. Vehicle squaring, ride height, weight, fuel and tire pressure where called out, target distance, target angle, and target orientation around the full vehicle perimeter. The Brand Specialist confirms the requirement against the Nissan position statement for that VIN before the calibration begins.
  4. Brand-authenticated Nissan tooling. Our US-based Brand Specialists run Nissan and Infiniti diagnostics with brand-authenticated tooling. Nissan-licensed software is available on request.
  5. Coverage across the Nissan and Infiniti AVM lineup. Internal combustion, hybrid, and battery electric platforms. AirPro services overall cover 98% of all vehicles on the road.
  6. Full insurance documentation, audit-ready. Documentation generates automatically against the Nissan position statement and reflects the verified calibration with all active fault codes resolved. Files are aligned to DRP audit requirements for State Farm, Allstate, GEICO, Progressive, USAA, and other major DRP programs.
  7. Trusted partner for every shop tier. Whether you are a single-shop independent running low monthly volume, a high-volume single-shop operator, a small MSO running two to three locations, or a large MSO running dozens to hundreds of locations, you get the same Brand Specialist coverage and the same documentation depth on every Static Around View Monitor calibration. Higher-volume single-shop operators and MSOs additionally receive DRP audit alignment built into the documentation flow.
