Airbag Module Programming (ACM and SRS)
When a collision occurs, the airbag control module stores fault codes that trigger the warning light. After a collision, whether the airbag is replaced or refurbished, the module must be reprogrammed before the vehicle is safe to drive. If the module is not reset, the airbag may not deploy in a future crash. Some vehicles won’t start without a valid ACM signature.
