Self-inspection scans defined
A Self-Inspection Scan is a pre-scan your technician runs in-house on the AirPro device. The vehicle stays in your bay. The device pulls every active and stored fault code across the vehicle’s ADAS-relevant modules. Documentation generates automatically, aligned to the OEM position statement for that vehicle. AirPro services cover 98% of all vehicles on the road, across internal combustion, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and battery electric powertrains, including the proprietary ADAS implementations EV-native OEMs build their vehicles around.
Self-Inspection Scans and Assisted Inspection are AirPro’ s two Pre-Scan Delivery Services. Self-Inspection puts the scan in your technician’s hand, so whenever the need to scan they can day or night 7 days a week with a basic audit ready report of Faults the vehicle has before the repair process.
Assisted Inspection puts a US-Based Brand Specialist on your tool to perform your scan for you, Looking at Live data in all systems including Safety and ADAS systems creating an audit ready topology report of the things that your technician cannot see with repair recommendations. A US-based Brand Specialist is one click away.
Self-Inspection Scans handle the routine work. When a vehicle is unfamiliar, a code is unusual, or a calibration procedure needs an OEM-specific walkthrough, your technician requests a US-based Brand Specialist. The Specialist takes over the AirPro device remotely, walks your technician through the procedure, and generates the documentation when the work is done. Our Brand Specialists have worked in repair shops themselves. They have in-depth experience with the vehicle brand they specialize in. They have the industry vocabulary because they have worked the bay. No script. No call tree. No transfer to a supervisor.

The AirPro Device
The AirPro device is the bridge between your technician and the US-based Brand Specialist on the call. One click on the device requests an Assisted Inspection. The Brand Specialist takes secure remote control through the device. Your technician stays at the vehicle, sees every step, and executes the physical work.
The device supports brand-authenticated tooling, including security gateway authentication for late-model Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and other vehicles that require it. Hardware updates and software releases push automatically through ORION, with no per-update fees and no risk of an obsolete tool sitting on your bench.
