AirPro OEM Software Access. Provides industry-leading diagnostic depth using the manufacturer's software for repairs.
AirPro OEM software access provides diagnostic depth using the manufacturer's software for repairs. AirPro Diagnostics is the industry-leading diagnostic and calibration partner capable of running OEM-licensed software upon request. Each support session is led by a US-based Brand Specialist with extensive experience in the vehicle brand being repaired.
OEM Software Access
OEM-licensed software refers to the manufacturer’s diagnostic tools. The environments associated with brands such as Toyota, Ford, Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and others as referenced in the OEM position statement. It is the deepest level of brand-authenticated access available outside the dealership, and it is the same software the OEM service network runs.
AirPro’s partners have access to OEM-licensed software by request. AirPro’s standard scan path uses brand-authenticated, best-in-class third-party, multi-brand, or aftermarket tooling, and any shop can request OEM-licensed access for the exact brand and model when the work calls for it. Some procedures, late-model vehicles, and insurer documentation standards call for OEM-licensed software.
When you request OEM Software Access, a US-based Brand Specialist with in-depth experience with that brand joins via ORION, AirPro’s operating system, and runs the diagnostic using the manufacturer’s own software. The diagnostic depth and the documentation come from AirPro; the physical repair stays with your shop’s technician.

A US-based Brand Specialist is one click away.
US-based Brand Specialists are available. This is the difference between the AirPro device and a generic scan tool. A generic tool reads codes and leaves the technician to interpret them on their own. The AirPro device remotely connects a US-based Brand Specialist with the on-site technician, who is on the line from error code to repair plan confirmation and documentation. No script. No call tree. No transfer to a supervisor. AirPro commits to responding within 10 minutes of every assist request, with the majority attended to within 90 seconds.
ORION: one platform. Every vehicle. Always current.
ORION is the industry-leading cloud-based diagnostic platform that ties your tools, your specialists, your reports, and your team into one system. Every assist runs through ORION. Documentation lands timestamped, formatted for insurer and DRP requirements, and stored for reference.
There are no per-update fees and no risk of an obsolete tool sitting on your bench. That’s part of the Evergreen Warranty. As long as you’re an AirPro customer, your hardware and software stay up to date and industry-compliant.
The AirPro Device
The AirPro device is the bridge between your technician and the US-based Brand Specialist on the call. One click on the device requests an Assisted Inspection. The Brand Specialist takes secure remote control through the device. Your technician stays at the vehicle, sees every step, and executes the physical work.
The device supports brand-authenticated tooling, including security gateway authentication for late-model Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and other vehicles that require it. Hardware updates and software releases push automatically through ORION, with no per-update fees and no risk of an obsolete tool sitting on your bench.
Frequently Asked ADAS Diagnostic Questions
Does AirPro use OEM-licensed software on every scan?
No. However, OEM-licensed software is available on request. AirPro’s standard scan path uses brand-authenticated, best-in-class third-party, multi-brand, or aftermarket tooling, and any shop can request OEM-licensed access for the exact brand and model when the work calls for it.
Which OEM platforms does AirPro support?
AirPro services cover 98% of all vehicles on the road, including the brand-licensed platforms each OEM uses for diagnostic, programming, and ADAS calibration. Coverage spans domestic, European, and Asian brands, and includes the proprietary ADAS implementations EV-native OEMs build their vehicles around. The US-based Brand Specialist on the call with your technician is the one with in-depth experience on that brand and that platform.
How does OEM Software Access work with security gateway authentication?
Many late-model vehicles from Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and other OEMs require authenticated security gateway access before any meaningful diagnostic, scan-clear, or module work can happen. AirPro’s US-based Brand Specialists run brand-authenticated tooling, including the security gateway authentication those vehicles require, when your shop requests OEM Software Access. Generic OBD scan tools and unauthenticated platforms cannot perform this work.
Can AirPro flash modules and apply OEM software updates?
Yes. Module programming, as-built file retrieval, and manufacturer-issued software updates are all OEM software work. A US-based Brand Specialist runs the procedure against the brand-licensed platform when your shop requests OEM Software Access, with full insurance documentation aligned to the OEM position statement generated automatically.
How does OEM Software Access affect insurance documentation?
Every assist generates full insurance documentation captured against the brand-specific OEM position statement. The file includes timestamped scan results, the pre-repair and post-repair vehicle state, the procedural steps the Brand Specialist or technician followed, and the as-delivered confirmation that the vehicle is verified to OEM operating spec. When the file is built on OEM-licensed software, the platform name and authenticated source are captured with the documentation. Files are aligned to DRP audit requirements.
AirPro does not have direct relationships or agreements with insurance companies. We support all our customers in meeting their DRP compliance and documentation requirements, and our customers usually participate in DRP programs including State Farm, Allstate, GEICO, Progressive, and USAA.
Which AirPro plan includes OEM Software Access?
OEM Software Access is accessible through every AirPro plan: AirPro Flex, AirPro Assist, and AirPro Assist Unlimited. Whichever plan fits your shop’s volume and brand mix, your US-based Brand Specialist can run OEM-licensed software when the job calls for it.
Do we still need our own OEM subscriptions if we partner with AirPro?
No. Shops that request OEM Software Access through AirPro do not need to carry their own OEM subscriptions on every brand they see. Our US-based Brand Specialists run brand-authenticated tooling on the assist when the job calls for it. Shops that already hold their own subscriptions can still partner with AirPro for US-based Brand Specialist support.
How fast can a US-based Brand Specialist join an OEM Software Access assist?
AirPro commits to responding within 10 minutes of every assist request, and a majority of requests are attended to within 90 seconds. When your technician clicks for an assist, the US-based Brand Specialist who joins is the one with in-depth experience on that brand and that platform. No overseas hand-off. No call-tree. No script.
