Derek Phenneger

As a Remote Automotive Diagnostician Specialist and Calibration Expert with AirPro Diagnostics, I support the Toyota and Lexus team. I’ve worked in the automotive industry for 25 years, including eight years in remote diagnostics and calibrations, and I’ve been a member of the AirPro team since 2025.

My path into the automotive industry started at home. My father was a mechanic in the Navy, and growing up, I was always right there as a helping hand when he worked on cars. That early experience led me to attend a trade high school, where I took classes in automotive, diesel, and collision repair. At 15, I started my first mechanic job through a work program, and I knew then that this would be my career.

What I enjoy most about my role at AirPro is working alongside other great technicians to help the collision and mechanical industries with full diagnostics and calibrations. I take pride in providing excellent customer service and building strong rapport with the shops and customers I work with every day.

Over the years, I’ve enjoyed working on a wide range of vehicles, including GM, Toyota, Nissan, and Chrysler models. When it comes to my dream car, it’s the Lexus LC 500 Coupe, a fitting choice for someone who spends his days on the Toyota/Lexus team.
